Bailout BUSTED!
THANK YOU!!! to the Representatives who stood up for the free market! This is a time for leadership not party politics. Speaker Pelosi (excuse me while I cringe) decided to take a few minutes to blame this entire situation on the ‘leadership’ of Bush and his economic policies. Instead of trying to offer suggestion to improve the situation she did what Democrats do – discourage, demote, disappoint, and disapprove. This party is not about upholding the good and finding solutions for the bad. They constantly point out the problems and then blame them on some one else.
Back to the Busted Bailout. Americans were over 2 to 1 opposed to the $700 Billion Bailout. It is sad that more concern was expressed in outrage about the proposed immigration policy last summer than this massive economic crisis. Why? Many of the ‘Average Americans’ do not understand economics- in fact that is one reason we are in this mess. Do the words “adjustable rate loans” ring a bell?
The next question is why would ‘Average Americans’ not understand this subject? Answer: In school we take only ONE semester of study on the issue, which is usually put off until the last semester of the senior year, which is usually taught by a coach. No offense to coaches, there are some which are equally if not more involved in their classroom duties than their coaching responsibilities, but not all are. Most folks (those making a living off of government subsides while refusing to get/look for education or job opportunities) never even grasp the basic two rules. 1. Supply and Demand and 2. There is No Such Thing as a Free Puppy!

$700 Billion Bailout – Bad Idea
I am against the bailout. This is socialism and we cannot afford to step any closer to that line. This is even more important given the Dems candidate for president!
Here is the breakdown. The government wants to buy the debt on homes in the US. How do they by it? YOUR MONEY.
Freedom Works launched a petition against the massive $700 billion Wall Street Bailout that Congress is debating. Please take a few seconds to sign it!
Now lets talk about how this relates to the Presidential Debate. McCain wanted to postpone so that he as a United States Senator, elected by the people of his state to work to best represent them in issue of discussion, could be an active part in this bailout bologna. Obama was against moving the debate.
Once Obama realized that this was not a good position to take he decided to create some argument that a president should be able to “multitask.” Obama claims that we the American people need to hear where the candidates stand on the issues. He has been campaigning for almost TWO YEARS. He has had PLENTY of time to explain his personal positions. Why is he still concerned that the American people do not know where he stands? Perhaps because he has still not stated plans or ideas on a number of subjects during these past two years.
Ask yourself who has the servant’s heart? Who steps up as a Leader? Who is more concerned with doing the job than getting the job? Once again McCain has put Country First! And Once again Obama has chosen to put himself and his campaign first.

A Case for Conservative Feminism
What is a feminist? The majority of America pictures, Barbara Boxer, Hillary Clinton, or Nancy Pelosi. The fact of the matter is that feminist can be conservative too! Elizabeth Dole, Condi Rice, and now the poster girl Sarah Palin. For more info on Conservative Feminism visit Clare Booth Luce Policy Institute.
Today Christina Hoff Sommer author of Who Stole Feminism? and The War Against Boys Sommer presents a wonderful case for conservative feminism while relating back to the history of the movement. Below are several noteable quotes and a link to the radio interview.
“Palin is a powerful woman she has combined family and work in a very exciting way. She can reach women who would not ordinarily listen to feminism.” – Christina Hoff Sommer
“The women’s movement, the orthodox organized women’s movement, does a very good job representing women who just want to be like men. But there are about 80% who want to be family centered. . .they don’t represent us.” – Christina Hoff Sommer
“McCain is not bothered or afraid of strong women. There is Cindy, Sarah Palin and Roberta which of course he had not choice (his mother).” – Bill Bennett
“There are more women in McCain’s campagin that Obama’s.” – Christina Hoff Sommers
In fact not only are there more women in McCain’s campaign but McCain pays them more that the Obama campaign pays their female workers.
“Sarah Palin did this on her own, without her husband’s coattails”

The Blame Game
“Democrats don’t have a plan but they have blame. They hate capitalism because it takes away their control. The liberal democrats, Obama in particular, are in favor of a socialist state.”
Rush Limbaugh has hit the nail on the head once again. In fact only yesterday Obama, following the heels of Republican Vice President nominee Sarah Palin, criticized McCain’s plan to have a commission investigate into the better of the AIG crisis. The bottom line is the Obama offers no plan. He has not even a suggestion on how to resolve the issue. Obama is “just words.” His only plans include taking away freedom and implanting socialism. The sad fact is he would not have to stretch that far.
There are so many different programs that already bear the markings of socialism, Social Security for instance. The very name SOCIAL should be an indicator. What does this program do? It takes a little money from everyone, puts it in a pot, and then redistributes equally. That my friends is socialism. The only problem is that sooner or later, and as we are seeing now, some point of the equation changes. That change could occur from greed, a feeling of inequality, or in this case a simple change in numbers. Socialism has always failed and it always will.
As with any job, an expert who works daily in their field will always know more than any person relying totally on book knowledge. That is the problem with those in power today. Congress thinks that after a few briefs and speeches on a subject that they are expert enough to make major decisions. Take the drilling bill that was forced through the House of Representatives yesterday. “It allows big oil companies to drill where there is basically no oil.” It is only a band-aid that they hope will blind American voters until the November election has passed. It is not a fix to anything!
Government and Democrats in particular feel that they have a right and obligation to stick their finger in every single pie. If they would just back away from the baked goods there would be a better product for the private sector to acquire and invest in.

Saturday Night Live: Sarah & Hillary
I have never been a fan of Saturday Night Live but this is amusing. I must thank my friend Cody for first telling me about this clip. I invite you to take a look and enjoy the accents and comments of both Gov. Palin and Sen. Clinton.
Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin was amused by Tina Fey’s impression of her on this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live,” especially as she once dressed up as Fey for Halloween
